After The Holidays!

Things die down considerably for most people after the holidays. The weather gets drab, the days are short, and it can be a real bummer. If you like to remain active and are looking for things to do with the family, the Louisiana Art & Science Museum is a great place to visit. And remember not to skip out on your dental cleanings this year!

Art & Science Museum

The Louisiana Art & Science Museum features art galleries, science galleries, and a planetarium! It has something for all ages, including:

  • Rotating galleries
  • Traveling art exhibits
  • Many exhibits aimed at children
  • Permanent exhibits
  • Ancient Egypt

Permanent Exhibits

The Museum features a permanent art exhibit and a permanent science exhibit. The science exhibits span much of the museum, and include the Universe Gallery which covers the entire universe; the Solar System; and Planet Tower exhibitions.

The Ancient Egypt gallery provides fascinating insight into one of our planet’s most interesting civilizations, featuring ancient artifacts as well as a mummy! And don’t miss the Museum’s new triceratops skull. Unearthed in Montana, it is 86 inches long, weighs over 1,500 pounds, and is more than 65 million years old!
