There Is Always Time For The Zoo

Once again, we'd like to take time in our blog to encourage you to support, enjoy, and participate in your community. There are a number of things to do in the Baton Rouge area. Halloween just passed and soon the holidays will be in full swing. Before you become too busy, now is a great time to visit the zoo. Let's face it, there is always time for the zoo!

Zoo Information

Where: The Baton Rouge Zoo is located at 3601 Thomas Rd., Baton Rouge, LA 70807.

When: The zoo is open every day from 9:30am to 4pm daily, except New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

How Much: Adults and Teens $8.75+tx; Seniors: $7.75+tax; Children 2 to 12 years $5.75+tx; Children 1 & under Free

Wednesday Special: Visit the Zoo every Wednesday from 3 to 4pm for only $1.50+tx per person.

Things to See and Do:

Spend the day exploring Africa, Asia, Australia, South America, and the African Elephant Oasis. See Birds of the World, Parrot Paradise, Realm of the Tiger, Birds of Prey, The Otter Pond, Spider Monkey Island, and Cypress Bayou. Enjoy shows including Otter Chat at 11am and 3pm daily; Running of the Ducks at the KidsZoo at 4pm daily; and on weekends enjoy the Wildlife Safari Theater at 11:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm. Feed the fish at one of two feeding stations, and visit the fish, reptiles and amphibians at La. Aquarium de Louisiane.
