What's Happening In Baton Rouge?

Everyone now and then we want to take time in a blog to let our patients and readers know what's happening in their community. Baton Rouge has a lot happening, from parties to exhibits. Community Events

  1. Depression Glass: An exhibit called  Depression Glass: A Colorful Diversion in a Difficult Era  will be held at the Louisiana Old State Capitol (100 North Boulevard at River Road) from September 6th until Halloween from 0am until 4pm. Admission to the exhibit is free and you can find more details by calling 225-342-0500. The exhibit showcases a variety of unique glass created during the depression, featuring a number of colors and designs.
  2. LSU Kickoff Party: The LSU Kickoff Party will be held at 1075 Government Street on September 9th from 4pm until 6pm. Admission is free and you can call 225-379-4902 for more details. You can enjoy free food, door prizes, and more.
  3. Painting Enlightenment: An art exhibit called  Paint Enlightenment: Experiencing Wisdom and Compassion Through Art and Science  will be held at 100 Lafayette Street, 5th Floor Shaw Center for the Arts now until November 27th. Admission is $5 for adults and kids over age 13. Free to students, faculty, members, and kids under the age of 12. The show features the art of Japanese scientist and artists Iwasaki Tsuneo.
